Kaiden Benjamin, of Belfast, ME. will be racing in the box stock series at Richmond Karting Speedway and Thundering Valley this race season. During the off season Kaiden has been working on the karts and his dad’s race car. Though over the winter, Kaiden has also been keeping busy playing basketball, as well as plays soccer and baseball this spring.   

This race season Kaiden is going to be very busy at the track and in the shop, “Our plans for the 2014 season will be to race as much as we can at both Thundering Valley and Richmond maybe a few other tracks if we can.”

 

Though when Kaiden is not racing, his kart owner and dad, Travis Benjamin puts him to work on his race car. Travis, races in the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) and brings his #1 fan to the track when he races, “Kaid will do a lot of the cleaning and picking up and sweeping up around the shop. He also enjoys putting the decals on the race car. The race teams we race against on the PASS tour are great to Kaid the Mulkerns and the Hights have supported Kaid last year.”

The drivers and race teams enjoy racing at RKS, “At Richmond there is a lot of competition. The people that run the race track, put on a really great show.”

Kaiden is going to do some test sessions before he takes the green flag this race season, “It looks like we will practice a couple times and our first race will be May 4th at Thundering Valley. We hope to get in 10-12 races this summer.”
