Evan Beaulieu Wins 9th Annual DT100 for Make A Wish Foundation

Evan Beaulieu took part in the 9th Annual DT100 race at Maine Indoor Karting in Scarborough, Maine this past weekend, a charity event raising money for the Make A Wish Foundation. The event brings over 100 of the best drivers from throughout the Northeast and as far south as North Carolina to compete against each other for charity and bragging rights. The event raises over $30,000 for Make A wish and has raised over $200,000 over t he first eight years for the Make A Wish Foundation.

While it’s a charity event, to the drivers it’s their first chance to get back on the track and compete against many other drivers that they normally wouldn’t have a chance to race against, as this race brings together many different drivers from different driving disciplines. The event is split into four different divisions broken up by weight. Evan was the third lightest in his weight class, and started last for his heat race. By lap four, Evan weaved his way through the field and grabbed the race lead. Evan drove away and grabbed the heat win, giving him an automatic starting spot in the A Main.
