BLENKHORN CAPTURES VICTORY AT NOVA TRUCK CENTRES MAKE-A-WISH 150

(Halifax, NS, June 23, 2019) Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) picked up his second win of the season and his 18th Series victory after winning the Nova Truck Centres Make-A-Wish 150 this afternoon at Scotia Speedworld. Blenkhorn had to battle Jarrett Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) who finished second for the latter stages of the race. Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE) had a strong run finishing third. Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS) and Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) rounded out the top five.

Turple picked up the pole position for the Nova Truck Centres 150 after winning the first of three 10 lap Atlantic Tiltload qualifying heats which set the 21 car field. Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) and Jarrett Butcher also won their respective heat races.

Craig Ward (Riverview, NB) picked up the Exide Batteries Rookie of the Race with a 12th place finish. Blenkhorn takes home the Kenny U-Pull Hard Charger award. Most Laps Led went to Jarrett Butcher who paced the field for 86 laps.   

The Passione Flooring and Interiors East Coast Mini Stock Tour took to the track prior to the Nova Truck Centres Make-A-Wish 150. Andrew Warren (White’s Lake, NS) picked up the checkered flag in the A-Pak Drywall & Acoustical 50. Dave Matthews (Kennetcook, NS) and Jesse Deveau (Greenwood, NS) finished second and third.
