Story by Chris Roy

David “Rowdy” Smart of Exeter, NH., will be doing double duty again this race season. Competing in the Ironman Division at Lee Speedway as well as Star Speedway in New Hampshire. In the off season you can find David online doing Iracing, video games, Facebook Live Fans and Secondlife.

This race season “Rowdy” is looking to take home 2 championships and doing more car show for the fans.

Star Speedway gets their race season underway on April 14th and, Lee Speedway 1st race is on May 19th. So is David and the car ready for the green flag? I guess we will find out come race day.

Racing at both race tracks the #54 car will be racing in over 40 races this race season. Which mean a lot of time in the race shop, setting up the car every week.

The highlight of last race season David finished 7th in points at Lee Speedway , this season he is hoping for dual championships.

The key to getting to victory lane is knowing how to race the race track, “at Star hugging low line and middle, and at Lee go high near the wall then dive down, and let it roll in.”

Racing is always evolving and improving based on impute from the drivers, “More Tech all cars making sure they not cheating look over, and a head to toe safety barrier at Lee and Star.”
