Emily PackardPackard Ready as the American Canadian Tour Heads to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway

EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. – Coming off a top-6 finish at Oxford Plains Speedway two weeks ago, Packard and the 9xME Northstar Fireworks/Packard Fuels team is anxious to head to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway this weekend for the Beech Ridge 150. “After running twice at OPS this year, and finishing fourth and sixth there, I am looking forward to running at Beech Ridge this weekend,” said Packard. “Beech Ridge is similar to Oxford, and I learned a lot from those two races that I think will carry over this weekend.”

This weekend marks Packard’s second time racing at the semi-banked, 1/3 mile asphalt oval. Last year, she finished 14th in her first trip there and was pretty happy with that. “I felt that we had a decent run there last season,” Packard said. “This race I am hoping for a good solid run, and I would love to get a top-5/top 10 finish this weekend. We have been fighting a super tight race car all season, and before we went out for the feature race at Oxford, we made a change to the car hoping it would help. The car ran phenomenal for the race, so we are planning on making this part of our base set-up this weekend, and I think it’s going to really help us at Beech Ridge.” With eight races complete Packard currently sits 6th in the points, but only 15 points separates her from 3rd place with 5 races left in the season.

Gates open at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway at 3 pm, with racing scheduled to start at 7pm. If you can’t make it out to the track, be sure to follow along on social media for practice times, heat race results and continuous race updates.
