Walpole, NH-     The Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) has added another seasoned member to its staff.  Mike Rainville, of Bow, NH, has accepted the position of Chief Starter for the 2015 season.

Originally from Groveton, NH, Rainville has been involved in the racing industry since 1997, beginning his career at Speedway 51 (formerly Riverside Speedway, NH), in various disciplines, including Flagman, Pit Road Coordinator and Corner Official through 2001.  Taking time off to earn a degree from UNH, Rainville returned to his home track and the flag stand, for two full years.  In 2007, Rainville jumped behind the wheel, participating in the Outlaw Division at Oxford Plains Speedway (ME).  After enjoying some success behind the wheel, Rainville hung his helmet, working for Oxford Plains Speedway for the 2008 season.  His career became international in the 2009 season, working the flag stand for the Serie Castrol, ACT’s Canadian touring series.  Rainville returned to Speedway 51, where he spent the 2011-13 seasons.  Rainville will return to the racing industry this season, after taking a year to start a family.

Rainville takes over the position most recently held by Tim Bennett, who finished the 2014 season for the GSPSS after Bryon Callen took the role of Race Director in the series’ 3rd full season.
