NAPLES ME (9/14) One of Northern New England’s biggest and most diverse racing weekends gets underway Thursday evening September 15 when Beech Ridge Motor Speedway hosts the Mid Week Open, the traditional kickoff to PASS 400 weekend presented by Southern Maine Motors.com

They’re the cars and trucks that you and your family might drive; mini trucks, 4 cylinders, 305’s and 350/305 Varsity ( mid size American sedans and pony cars) tricked out to turn left. These mid week warriors put on an exciting show each and every week throughout the summer racing season and on PASS 400 Weekend these race teams are the stars of Thursday night,headlining day one of the four day motorsports extravaganza . 5:45 is the Thursday September 15 start time.

The action continues on Friday September 16 with a full day of practice for all PASS 400 weekend divisions, with free spectator admission to the grandstands. Practice rolls off at noon. Then Saturday September 17 the racing action picks up in earnest when the PASS Super Late Models, PASS Mods and PASS Sportsman qualify for their Sunday features, plus a fifty lap Legends feature, twenty five laps for the PASS Mods and a whopping seventy five lap feature for the Wildcat/Strictly Stock racers. Heats get underway at 12:10 PM.

Sunday is PASS race day, headlined by the PASS 300 presented by Southern Maine Motors.com; its round four of the 2011 PASS National Championship as well as a points paying PASS North race. There’s $10,000.00 plus lap money on the line, not to mention the prestige that accompanies a win in PASS North’s richest race. The PASS Sportsman have a one hundred lap go, the PASS Mods get a 40 lap shootout and the North East Mini Stock Tour will round out almost 500 laps of feature racing. Sunday’s races will be ready to rumble shortly after 12:00 noon.
