The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South super late models make a Friday June 4 appearance at Altahmahaw North Carolina’s Ace Speedway, a fast 4/10 mile speed plant that will be hosting the stars and cars of PASS for the first time.

Ace should be considered a wild card in the race for the 2010 PASS South championship, joining North Wilkesboro Speedway as one of two tracks on the schedule where the series has yet to make an appearance.

With five of the scheduled thirteen championship events in the books, Concord North Carolina’s Preston Peltier is atop the standings by virtue of his two wins and five top five finishes to date. High Point’s Ryan Blaney won the season opener at Dillon (NC) Motor Speedway and trails Peltier by 20 markers, 1086-1066. Consistency has Tennessean Heath Hindman in third, 46 points back from Blaney at 1,020. Jay Fogleman has yet to visit victory lane in 2010 but he’s only six points behind Hindman, deadlocked with Concord Speedway race winner Andy Loden at 1014.

Ace will serve up a heaping helping of action Friday night with King Extremes, Chick-fil-a Modifieds, Legends, Bandoleros and 150 green flag laps for the short track stars of the Pro All Stars Series.

Pit gates open on Friday June 4 at 1:00 PM and PASS practice gets the green at 2:30 PM. The grandstands open at 5:00 PM and the first race will take to the track at 8:00 PM. The PASS super late models, Legends and Bandoleros will time trial at 6:15 PM.
