Naples ME (October 28 2009) Pro All Stars Series President Tom Mayberry has announced that the short track touring series will sanction, officiate  and promote a  non-points Super Late Model race  at New Smyrna (FL) Speedway on Friday and Saturday, January 29 and 30 2010. The event marks the first visit to Florida for the ten year old short track sanctioning body that currently sanctions and promotes five touring series in nine states and Canada.

“We’re excited to have reached an agreement with New Smyrna to put on the inaugural PASS Florida Winterfest at their great facility, “said Mayberry in announcing the event. “ New Smyrna is synonymous with winter short track racing, and I know that there is interest throughout the Super Late Model ranks for an extra distance mid-winter event. We expect to see the best of the best from across the country at PASS Florida Winterfest.”

PASS Florida Winterfest will utilize PASS rules and race procedures, including the fan friendly feature format that restarts the field double file and offers up the advertised distance under the green flag.  Tentative plans call for the Super Late Models to go 150 green flag laps, with a lap 100 break to make adjustments and change two right side tires if desired.
