The 3rd annual 4-Cylinder Nationals presented by Kraze Korlacki Speed Equipment is this  Sunday, August 2nd. The race will be the final points race for the 2009 NEMST season. The Nationals was set to throw a kink into the point standings at the end of the yewar, showcasing the Drivers and Teams that can tune their car for speed with its open-type rules package. The list of rules are short but the excitement and thrills are endless with the mix of the fastest four-cylinder mini stocks in the northeast.

The NEMST is offering a $100 bonus to any registered tour drive that wins the race on August 2nd under its open type rules. This bonus is limited to NEMST cars that have paid the year long registration fee. Registrations can also be purchased at the track on Sunday.

For the NEMST Emerson Cayer is coming into nationals with the Points Championship already secured with his 113 point lead over Justin Trombley. Many drivers that have been as fast as Cayer all year have fell into mechanical trouble, or rules violations taking them out of the title hunt. For the rest of the top 10 every spot is up for grabs and all drivers will be trying to get those few extra points for the bigger check at the banquet.

Some new drivers to tour competition coming off hot top 5 finishes at Wiscasset are local young hot shot 15 year old Tasha Dyer coming off a 3rd place run, and from the other end of the spectrum nationals veteran and mini stock competitor Reggie Bickford who took 4th at Wiscasset. Some other Notables to watch will be Loren Smith who has posted 3 top 5 finishes in his last 3 starts, and Rhode Island native Roger Ducharme who is sitting fourth in year end points going into Beech Ridge.
