Dillon SC (March 23) 2008  Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model South champion Alex Haase and the top ten PASS South race teams of 2008 were honored at the Banquet of Champions at the Kintyre House in Dillon, South Carolina as part of the season opening South Carolina Clash 150 weekend.  Over 100 drivers, crew members, family and fans filed in to watch the top drivers receive their hardware and manufacturer’s awards. PASS President Tom Mayberry welcomed the attendees to the banquet and gave a brief overview of the upcoming season, and thanked all the competitors and series sponsors for their continued support.
 

Master of ceremonies Alan Dietz commended everyone for their great efforts in 2008, and wished everyone good luck in 2009. Tim Pinion garnered the tenth place award along with a gift certificate from ARP Bodies. The ninth place trophy went to Spencer Wauters, and John Batten collected the eighth place award along with an R.E. Suspension certificate. Picking up the seventh place trophy and certificates from Leavitt Racing Components and ARP Bodies was Justin Wakefield. Alex Fleming took home the sixth place hardware plus a certificate from BSR Products. Fifth place finisher, Heath Hindman picked up a pair of certificates from Leavitt Racing Components, and one from ARP Bodies. Fourth place finisher, Mark Gibson also took home a Leavitt Racing Components prize, plus an ARP Bodies certificate, and a Five Star Body re-skin package certificate. Perry Brown took home the third place award, while Corey Williams gathered up the runner-up hardware. 2008 PASS South Champion and Northern Race Tire Rookie of the Year Alex Haase and his Kyle Busch owned team collected the lion’s share of the awards.  Haase thanked his crew, family members, and most of all, Kyle Busch, for giving him this great opportunity. Haase received several awards including product certificates from Bassett Wheels, Leavitt Racing Components, Racing Electronics and Five Star Bodies. Northern Race Tires and Superior Images presented the champion and each member of his race team with beautiful championship jackets.
 
Special awards were presented to the following: John Batten, Hard Luck Award; Mark Gibson, Sportsmanship award; Justin Wakefield, Most Improved; Heath Hindman, Hard Charger Award. Jeff Day collected the PASS South Lifetime Achievement Award.
