CHARLOTTE, NC (FEBRUARY 9) – The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) is pleased to announce that it will sanction a Late Model Truck division in 2009.  The PASS Late Model Trucks will be the support division for the PASS South Super Late Models at eight to ten races in 2009. The majority of the PASS late model truck races will be 75 laps in length.

“We are very excited to bring the PASS Late Model Trucks into our family of racing divisions,” said PASS President Tom Mayberry.  “Ever since we started  PASS South in 2006 we wanted a support division that could compliment the Super Late Models just as the PASS Mods and PASS Sportsman cars have in PASS North.  With the response we have seen since we announced we were looking at the Late Model Trucks, we feel we have found the perfect division to provide our fans with the type of top notch racing they expect at a PASS sanctioned  event”

The PASS Late Model Trucks will utilize rules very similar to those of tracks where the trucks already compete on a regular basis.  The new division will be sanctioned and officiated by PASS officials.  The PASS Late Model Trucks will join the PASS South Super Late Models as part of the season opening South Carolina Clash on Saturday, March 14th at the Dillon Motor Speedway in Dillon, SC.  Any drivers wishing to compete in the PASS Late Model Truck division that have questions regarding rules should contact PASS technical director Scott Reed at scottreedpass@yahoo.com or 207-625-3230.
