OXFORD, Maine – Jason Black limped across the finish line Friday night on a flat right front tire to win the 75-lap Unicel Motor Mayhem full-size Enduro, completing a sweep of the two events at Oxford Plains Speedway this season.
Black took the lead on lap 8 and eventually lapped the remainder of the field, a development that proved necessary when the telltale sparks shooting from the side of his ride worsened as the white flag appeared.

VALLÉE-JCT., QC – Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. of Akron, OH has posted a “team” bonus for the Coors Light 200 “Showdown at Chaudière” all-star Late Model stock car event at Autodrome Chaudière in Vallée-Jonction, QC on Saturday, Sept. 6. The race will feature the top 11 drivers from the U.S.-based American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and the top 11 drivers from the Québec/Ontario-based Série ACT Castrol.

BARRE, VT – Veteran stock car driver Dave Whitcomb of Essex Junction earned his 20th career Late Model victory at Barre’s Thunder Road in the NAPA Auto Parts/Make-A-Wish 50-lap event on Thursday night. Whitcomb charged around David Chagnon of Colchester to take the lead on lap 40, then sped to the win. Jamie Fisher of Shelburne followed Whitcomb around Chagnon two laps later to finish in second place. Chagnon, who set a career-high mark in third place one week ago, equaled his best finish by
completing the podium.

Coming to Caraway Speedway, PASS South points leader Corey Williams is in a tight battle that sees him leading fifth place in points Mark Gibson by just 74 points. It could be the unknowns, however, that will play the biggest factor in who leaves Caraway in the best position for the championship.

The $5,000-to-win event is the tenth of 12 races for the American-Canadian Tour (ACT), and will feature the region’s top short track talent, as many as 50 or more championship-caliber drivers.
