CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Checkers announced that NASCAR Busch East Series female driver Katie Hagar will attend the team’s inaugural “Pink in the Rink” game on Feb. 11.
Hagar will sign autographs and give away pink bracelets which show support for those undergoing treatment, honor those who we have lost and celebrate those who have survived.
The Checkers will wear special pink jerseys bearing the logos of the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation, Carolina Breast Friends and the American Cancer Society.
The team will have a live jersey auction following the game and the proceeds will be donated to the three organizations.
Charlotte is the ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League and the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.
