Speedway 95 News Release 11-18-06

(Hermon, ME)  Speedway 95 ended it's 2006 season Saturday, November 18th with it's annual awards banquet at the Elks Lodge in Bangor. John Phippen, Jr. of Town Hill, picked up his third championship trophy in his ProStock racing career, beating out Winterport's Ryan Deane, by just two points. The second spot in the ProStock standings marks the fourth year in a row Deane has occupied that position. Jason Witts of Bangor earned the trophy in the Limited Sportsman division, by 4 points over Rowland Robinson of Steuben.

Other awards were handed out for Rookie of The Year, Most Improved, and Sportsmanship. The flagmen, tech garage and safety crew all gave out special award for each division. John Higgins of Milo was award most improved in the Pro-Stock division.
