UNITY RACEWAY TO GET FACELIFT FOR 2003 SEASON
- Unity, ME - Track owner, Ralph Nason, and Track promoter, John Crawford, announced many planned improvements for the upcoming race season. The duo planned improvements to the track, pits, as well as grandstands. The biggest improvement will be the addition of pavement to the pit area.

OPS Owner Bill Ryan wins award in Daytona, Florida
- Oxford Plains Speedway Owner Bill Ryan was awarded a special recognition award at the recent RPM Promoters Workshop in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Workshop, hosted by the racing industry’s trade association, recognized Ryan for his “Rehabilitation of a Race Track” efforts at the famed Maine oval.

Spud Speedway - There will be racing there
- We are in the process of opening spud back up in caribou maine, the track has been closed for about 2 years and this April we are going to open the track if we can get sponcers to help us raise the $12,000 dollars that will cover the rental of the Race track.

- Phil Scott has a chance to win over $17,500 this Sunday at the Parts Plus Thunder Road season finale, headlined by the 31st New England Dodge Dealers Fall Foliage 200. Scott is the ACT Dodge Tour and Thunder Road Late Model point leader and stands to earn $15,000 if he can capture his first ACT championship and his third Thunder Road title. He can add another $2,500 with a Fall Foliage 200 victory.

Ryan Moore’s Late Rally Gains ACT 100 Win At White Mountain
- Nineteen year-old Ryan Moore of Scarborough, Me took advantage of lapped traffic, passed Jacob McGrath for the lead on lap 80, and went on to win the ACT Dodge Tour 100 Saturday night at White Mountain Motorsports Park. McGrath briefly surrendered second place to Jamie Fisher, then regained the spot and finished three car lengths behind Moore. The victory was Moore’s first of the season and the second of his ACT career.

BEECH RIDGE MOTOR SPEEDWAY HONORS CHAMPIONS FOR 2002 - Portland, Maine- The 2002 NASCAR Weekly Racing Series season was brought to a close on Saturday night November 22nd as Beech Ridge Motor Speedway celebrated the conclusion of it’s 54th crowning it's champions and recognizing some distinguished individuals with ceremonies held at the Holiday Inn in Portland Entering the 2002 NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge season, the Pro Series roster found rookie contender David Oliver added to the high powered field of cars.

2002 BEECH RIDGE CHAMPIONS TO BE CROWNED IN PORTLAND
- The 2002 NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge champions from Beech Ridge Motor Speedway will be crowned at awards ceremonies to be held at the Holiday Inn in Portland Maine on Saturday night November 23rd.

DAVID OLIVER PULLS BEECH RIDGE CHAMPIONSHIP OUT OF HIS HAT WITH LAST LAP PASS IN STUNNING BEECH RIDGE FINALE
- Championships were on the line as the final race of the season took place at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on Saturday night. Entering the final night the Pro Series division a part of the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge had twin 40 lap feature to run and defending champion Steve Berry Jr entered the evening with a slim 3 point lead over Alan Tardiff and 7 point lead over Dave Oliver.

- Ryan Shepard bested the field of pro Series drivers on Saturday night winning his third feature of the season in the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge division. Shepard took the lead after pole position starter Jason Fowler was eliminated in a wreck before the first lap was complete.

STEVE CARRIER WINS FIRST CAREER RACE AT BEECH RIDGE
- Steve Carrier finally broke the ice on Saturday night at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway winning the 40 lap Pro Series feature race for the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge division. Carrier waited 10 years for this occasion and his jubilation was felt throughout the speedway from his fellow competitors, fans and officials on this night. Carrier bolted into the lead right at the start of the race with Ryan Shepard close behind.

DAN MCKEAGE CRUISES TO BEECH RIDGE VICTORY LANE
- Dan McKeage went wire to wire Saturday night at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway winning the Pro Series feature race for the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge. McKeage started on the pole position and quickly jumped into the lead as David Pinkham followed McKeage to the front of the pack.

PEE WEE KNIGHT SCORES FIRST PRO SERIES WIN AT BEECH RIDGE
- Pee Wee Knight bested the field of NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge Pro Series drivers on Saturday night to win his first feature race in the division.

- It was opening day of the 2002 racing season when 2-time champion Bobby Babb had a violent crash into the front wall destroying his race car and bruising his body.

2006 Schedule
The Busch East Series, formerly known as the Busch North Series, takes on a new identity in 2006 to reflect its expanded East coast schedule. The series was formed in 1987, and has traditionally competed at tracks throughout Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. The series expanded into Virginia in 2005 and will compete in Greenville, S.C. for the first time in 2006. Two-time NASCAR Busch Series champion Martin Truex Jr. was a winning Busch East Series driver during the 2000-02 seasons, before he advanced to NASCAR’s national series on a full-time basis in 2004. Other notable Busch East Series graduates include driver Ricky Craven, along with crew chiefs Frank Stoddard, Richard “Slugger” Labbe and Greg Zipadelli.

F1 OUTDOORS KICKS IT UP A NOTCH-A 6-HOUR ENDURO UP THIS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19 - What's better than a 4-Hour Enduro? How about a 6-Hour Enduoro at F1 Outdoors! In mid-September F1 Outdoors began it's inaugural season with a 4-Hour Enduro. The results were that the competitors requested a longer race that would challenge both their strength and endurance.

Drivers Signing Up for PASS 2003 - The long cold winter of 2003 is only half over but many PASS drivers and teams are already looking forward to the racing season ahead. If early license sign-ups are any indication, 2003 will prove to be the most competitive season ever for the international pro stock touring series.

PASS Expands Point Fund, Travel Plan - Pro All Stars Series President Tom Mayberry is please to announce that the PASS point fund and travel plan will expand from 15 paying positions to 20 for 2003. The additional spots were added to reflect the growing popularity of the series as the number of licensed competitors increases.

PASS Cars and Stars at Northeast Motorsports Expo - "It’s been a little over a month since Wiscasset Raceway promoter Tom Mayberry announced the new Wiscasset Modified division that will debut this spring at the coastal oval, and the response to the new class has been encouraging. Twenty teams have already requested numbers as we head into the New Year and a number of cars are already nearing completion."

MAYBERRY, PASS ANNOUNCE $100,000.00 TO WIN "BIG DAWG CHALLENGE" - PORTLAND ME - Pro All Stars Series President Tom Mayberry today announced that the Pro All Stars Series will sanction the Big Dawg Challenge, a 400 lap Pro Stock race event to be held at Wiscasset Raceway in Wiscasset Maine on Saturday and Sunday October 11 and 12, 2003. The Big Dawg Challenge will post awards in excess of $195,000.00 with a possible $100,000.00 to the race winner.

- Johnny Clark of Farmingdale Maine is the Pro All Stars Series' Rookie of the Year after dominating the category throughout much of the 2002 campaign. An exceptional group of candidates signed up for the title chase and Clark came out of the box strong and maintained a solid grip on the standings from race one on.

- The Pro All Stars Series Banquet of Champions has been set for Friday evening November 8th at Verillo's Conference Center on Riverside Street in Portland Maine.

Fraser Thompson PASS Victor
- Shubenacdie Nova Scotia's' Scott Fraser powered by Larry Gelinas in the late stages of the PASS Octoberfest 200 to reclaim the lead and earn his first Pro All Stars-sanctioned victory Saturday night at Thompson International Speedway. Fraser and his Atlantic Cat sponsored Chevrolet held Rick Fuller and Gelinas at bay in the closing laps to record the $6,000.00 plus payday in the inaugural PASS event on the fast five-eights mile.

Rowe, a multi-time Oxford track champion, inherited the lead when Gary Drew suffered ignition failure just four laps before rain ended the event at lap 121.

- On Sunday the road to the Pro All Stars Series Championship leads back to where it all began in April as the northeast's top Pro Stock racers return to Oxford Plains Speedway to crown the 2002 PASS Champion. SPEEDWAY 95 CROWNS 2003 DIVISION CHAMPIONS - The annual Speedway 95 Awards Banquet was held Saturday night, November 16th at the Bangor Elks Lodge on the Odlin Road in Bangor. Sixty drivers from the Saturday night program and twenty from the Wednesday night show received their point fund awards and/or trophies for their placement in the season's points standings. Special awards were also given for drivers showing special performance in Rookie of the Year, Sportsmanship, Most Improved Driver, Flagman's award, Safety award and Tech award.

SPEEDWAY 95 WACKY WEDNESDAY DRIVERS RECEIVE AWARDS - Drivers from the Wednesday night racing program at Speedway 95 received awards and recognition for outstanding performance at the annual Banquet and Awards night held at the Bangor Elk's Lodge on the Odlin Road in Bangor on Saturday night, November 16.

JIM CARR TAKES SPEEDWAY 95 TRUCK FINAL
- Jim Carr of Clifton won the final feature event of the 2002 racing season Sunday afternoon at Speedway 95 as he beat points champion Brett Crosby of Hermon to the checkered flag. Carr and Crosby raced nose to tail for most of the distance, with Crosby trying but unable to pass Carr's truck.

DAVID DOORE TAKES BIG ENDURO FEATURE AT SPEEDWAY 95
- David Doore of Milford started on the pole and wired the Big Enduro feature at Speedway 95 Sunday afternoon, and, in the process, wrapped up his second consecutive points championship in that division.

MIKE THOMAS AND DON ALEXANDER SHARE 95 SPOTLIGHT
- Mike Thomas of Etna and Don Alexander Jr. of Carmel became the 10th and 11th different feature winners of the season Saturday night at Speedway 95 as the regular racing program drew to a close. In the make up feature rained out on August 24, Thomas grabbed the lead from Lloyd Nickerson of E. Corinth following a lap 18 restart, and went on to post his first win of the season. Nickerson finished second with Andy Saunders of Ellsworth third.

- Aaron St. Peter of Brewer took advantage of a caution flag on lap 23 of the 35 lap Pro Stock feature Friday night at Speedway 95 to pass leader Mike Thomas of Etna and drive on to win the make up event from last week's rain out.

The grandstands were jammed with excited race fans and the pit area was overflowing with a total of 202 racers as Oxford Plains Speedway presented opening night for the Big Apple Texaco Summer Racing Series.

UNITY RACEWAY TO GET FACELIFT FOR 2003 SEASON
- Unity, ME - Track owner, Ralph Nason, and Track promoter, John Crawford, announced many planned improvements for the upcoming race season. The duo planned improvements to the track, pits, as well as grandstands. The biggest improvement will be the addition of pavement to the pit area.

Unity Raceway Pro-Stocks win with the Maine State Lottery
- Unity Raceway promoter, John Crawford, is excited to announce the addition of Maine State Lottery to the class sponsors. Maine State Lottery will be replacing the PTM Kick Butts as the main sponsor for the Pro-Stock division. It will sponsor opening day with a 103 lap Pro-Stock Race.

Connor Captures Unity Street Stock 75 For Career Best - Oakland’s Skip Connor led early, was involved in a mid-race mishap, then charged from the rear of the field to lead the final five laps to win Unity Raceway’s biggest DNK Select Used Cars Street Stock event of the season and a $1,000 payday. Three other divisions were on the open-comp style slate and going home with feature wins were China’s J.J. Wentworth, Sidney’s Ron Smith and Rome’s Seth Wills.

- Championships were on the line Saturday during a very somber day at Unity Raceway where racer Allen Fletcher had lost his life in a crash the previous Saturday. In the premier division, the PTM Kick Butts Pro Stocks, it turned into a crash-fest between the two championship contenders.

- Thorndike’s Bub Raven shed some light on a frustrating 2002 season Saturday night with a green-to-checkers run to victory in front of the Kick Butts Racing Pro Stock feature event. Thibodeau By Inches Over Fuller At Unity - It took a while to get there, but when the Kick Butts Racing Pro Stocks neared the end of their feature race Saturday, the two championships contenders put on a finish for the ages. Pat Thibodeau, of Winterport, beat Albion’s Dean Fuller to the checkers Saturday night by inches after the two had traded the lead several times during the final two laps. Both cars were sideways in the first turn, on the last lap prior to Thibodeau using the preferred lower groove to barely win over Fuller in a race that mirrors the championship point battle.

FIVE FIRST TIME CHAMPIONS AT WISCASSET RACEWAY
- Wiscasset Raceway rolled out it's final night of points racing for the 2002 season Saturday night with five of seven division titles still up for grabs. With a few anxious moments and a couple wild finishes, all point leaders were able to seal the deal and unofficially wrap up the titles in their respective divisions, five of them being first time champs.

KENNY WRIGHT GOES WIRE TO WIRE IN THE WISCASSET QUIK-STOP PASS 150 AT WISCASSET RACEWAY
- It was another big weekend of racing at Maine's fastest oval, and when the smoke cleared and the engines went quiet on Sunday evening, Kenny Wright of Woolwich had left little doubt about who was in charge. The stars of PASS, the Pro All Stars Series, capped off a double header weekend of action with the Wiscasset Quik-Stop 150, rolling out a field of 35 of the top Prostock drivers in the northeast. 42 drivers attempted to qualify for a starting spot in the race.

Kenny Wright Earns First PASS Wiscasset Checker
- Kenny Wright topped a talent-laden field to win the Wiscasset Quik Stop 150 for the Pro All Stars Series Sunday at Wiscasset Raceway. It was Wright's second win of the PASS season and he held off a charge from Ben Rowe with two laps remaining to earn the $4,000 payday for the Newmarket Sand and Gravel team.
